Here at Aldersgate we are committed to a growing faith in our hearts which produces fruit in our actions. In the coming months, we will be offering opportunities to reach out in the name of Christ to the world around us. Each month we support a different ministry through our Mission of the Month.
Meals on Wheels
Our mission this month is serving Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors age 60 or over who are unable to cook for themselves, or have no one to cook for them. Kay Carroll, Debbie Elliott, Violet Vitola, Dick Leiby, Katherine Bradley, Linda Harp, Phil and Bernita Sapp, and The Goodman’s represent Aldersgate every 3rd Monday of each month. Within the city limits of Huntsville, over 500 volunteers deliver a total of 22 routes. These volunteers bring a smiling face to shut-ins whose only contact for the day may be their meal delivery. This has been an ongoing mission throughout the history of Aldersgate, providing nutritious meals for a donation of $18.80 for a week and $75.00 for a month.
