2012 Adult Study GroupsLenten studyAdam Hamilton has a new book and Lenten Study: Final Words. There is a DVD/Leaders guide and a hardback book. This will Not be a sermon series due to Bill rotating through with his I Believe series.

LEARNING THE WORDDISCIPLE 3 - REMEMBER WHO YOU AREConcentrates on the Old Testament prophets and the letters of Paul. The prophets and Paul are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people “set apart.” The prophets and the community cannot be separated. The prophets spoke for God, out of the community, and to the community. Paul’s experience of the risen Lord, his relationship to the community he addressed, his Jewish traditions, and the Greco-Roman culture of his day merged in his writing of the letters. Paul used the language of his culture to carry the message that arose out of his roots in the Hebrew Scriptures and Judaism. Class begins in January to cover the first half and the second half will begin in August.
This small group studies various books for the Bible and issues. Free and open discussion is encouraged. The group will also have social events periodically to share in fellowship outside of the study. The group is focusing on Timothy.
Trouble making room in your schedule or, you aren't comfortable discussing the Bible in front of others or, need some time to think about answers to discussion questions that come up in group settings? It's an online small group! Each week, we will look at four scripture passages, and discuss them using an online group bulletin board approach. A few questions for discussion related to the passages, and you can chime in at your convenience through the week. The online tool called Moodle (www.moodle.org) will be the forum.
No preparation required...no homework?? Does this sounds like a small group for you? Each week bring your Bible and get ready to be immersed in the Word.
WOMEN’S STUDY GROUPSBETH MORE BIBLE STUDY—Topic to be determinedBeth presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. She teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal.
This group will start with a book study. We will meet for lunch in a restaurant in Southeast Huntsville Monday or Thursday lunch at 11:30 am, restaurant to be announced.
This group is a discussion class. The age range is diverse and all women are invited. Rick Warren's 40 Days of Love will be the study topic.
A group of women who meet early in the day in a home for fellowship and to share God’s word through study and discussion of Christian books.
TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY This fun group enjoys an hour of study, fellowship, and sharing insight into live application. This group is using Journey through the Bible series.
